Geo Index KAM: a spatial information layer

The problem with local information is not that it does not exist, but that people on the ground often cannot find it when they need it. Geo Index KAM turns scattered publications into a spatial information layer that connects data, places and decision-making.

Try it live

Geo Index KAM is live on the Savinjska regional platform (kupujlokalno.si). The map below is not a demo, but a live system embedded in the same way that a municipality or destination can use API connections or an iFrame to add it to its existing website.

Show me what is nearby

From portal to spatial layer

A conventional municipal or tourism portal is primarily a publishing channel. This works well when visitors plan a trip from home, but much less effectively when they are already at a location and need a quick answer: what is here, what is nearby and where should they go next? Geo Index KAM does not leave information hidden in menus; it connects it with locations, routes, providers, events and the moment it is needed.

Users can access information via a QR code, a map, their GPS location or a manually selected starting point. The system ranks content by location, distance, recency and the user's interests. The objective is not to display as much information as possible, but to provide the most useful answer at that particular moment.

The system does not replace official websites: it connects content published by municipalities, public institutions and event organisers with relevant locations, then takes visitors back to the official source with a single click.

What about Google Maps?

Google Maps is an excellent global mapping and navigation platform. Geo Index KAM explains what a specific point means to a municipality, who provided the data, who is responsible for it and how the use of that information feeds back into local decision-making. It does not compete with Google: it can enhance Google or another mapping platform with local context and management capabilities. The key difference is control: with Google Maps, a municipality is primarily a user of a global platform; with Geo Index KAM, it manages its own information layer.

Frequently asked questions from decision-makers

How much does a pilot cost?

The PILOT package starts at 3,300 € (up to 50 geo-points, up to 10 QR locations and implementation within 30 days), with maintenance from 111 €/month. This amount generally allows procurement through a simplified record-based procedure.

Who adds the content?

We prepare the initial set of points based on a content audit. You can then manage the content yourself through the self-service admin portal, or we can provide ongoing editorial management under the PREMIUM tier.

What happens to the data if we discontinue the service?

The data is yours: geo-points, including coordinates, descriptions, images and routes, can be exported without additional conditions when the service ends.

Indicative investment: pilot from 3,300 €. We will prepare an exact quote following a requirements assessment. Services and pricing
